Most trading journals miss the thing you can control.

P/L matters, but it is noisy. Discipline scoring separates trade outcome from decision quality so a lucky win does not hide a broken process.

Repeat

Good process + win

You followed the plan and the trade worked.

Accept

Good process + loss

The loss stayed inside your rules.

Warning

Bad process + win

Profit came from a weak decision.

Fix

Bad process + loss

The rule break deserves immediate review.

No trade signals No profit promises Built for review discipline

Why use a discipline score instead of only a trading journal template?

A normal trading journal template records what happened. A trading discipline score template helps explain whether the result came from a repeatable decision or from a rule break. That makes it easier to review good losses, dangerous winners, repeated emotional trades, and the specific trading rules that need attention.

Jurnl-It uses the same philosophy inside the app: trade logs, screenshots, process reviews, analytics, correlations, and insights should help traders improve review quality. The template gives you a free way to start that process before moving into an automated journal workflow.

Trading Discipline Score FAQ

Use this template as a private review aid. It does not provide financial advice, investment advice, or trade recommendations.

What is a trading discipline score?

A trading discipline score measures whether you followed your process: setup quality, risk planning, sizing, entry, stop discipline, exit discipline, emotional control, and review completion.

How does the spreadsheet calculate the score?

Each rule is marked Pass, Partial, Fail, or N/A. The spreadsheet applies your rule weights and calculates a 0-100 score for each trade and daily review.

Can I use it in Google Sheets?

Yes. The template works in Excel and can be imported into Google Sheets. Some visual formatting may look slightly different after import.

Will this improve my trading results?

No. The template is a review tool, not financial advice or a trading signal. It helps you study decision quality and rule adherence without promising performance.
